Default Widest tire fitmen

Hi all i just purchased a SGS.....what is the widest and Largest ( 21' , 23' etc ) front tire i can replace without doing any modification, if I need to buy a different rim I can do that....I am thinking more toward the widest then the "tallest".

Right now standard tire is 130/60B19 61H
Thank you....

I've asked this before and was told 130 was about it. You could probably put a slightly wider tire on it, but actually finding one that won't also mess with the ABS could be a real challenge though.

suggest you contact one of the various wheel vendors, like HOG PRO or Wanna Ryd, they have a lot of experience with these type of things, especially if the abs is a concern. There is some type of ABS add on that makes a 21 or 23 feasible, just not certain what they call it. As to width, for a 19 inch wheel, 130 is about all i have seen.

We're limited by what the tyre industry makes and they don't make many tyres for 19" or larger diameter, with a suitable load rating, as they are not popular, except for custom aplications. When Harley comes out with a new tyre that is not commonly available, such as the 160/70 for the Deuce, it can take the aftermarket quite a while to come up with their alternative - and that is for a production bike. The same has happened with the 19" front Touring tyre, which is still not widely available in the aftermarket brands. Larger diameter or wider ones are a challenge!

Just because Avon might not have one, doesn't mean they are not widely available...Metzeler, Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop, Shinko all make that size
