I agree with Sbates LA choppers Twin Peaks or the Mayhem bars. The difference between the two are the LA choppers are narrow @ 34.5 inches wide 6" of PB and strait across at the top, The Mayhems are 36.5" Wide 6.5" of PB with points at the top. Some have gone to 14" bars without changing lines, the lines looked stretched to me. The 12" bars will fit for sure without a line change.
Both bars are great imho.

The specs for the 2014 Rushmore touring bars.

  • Tip-to-Tip

    31.75 Inch
  • Base Width

    15.75 Inch
  • Knurl Center-to-Center

    3.50 Inch
  • Rise

    10.0 Inch
  • Pullback

    6.50 Inch

Look at the Klock Werks Ergo bars if you want the wrist angle straighter.

The image that Klockwerks uses to show the relative bend/position of their bars versus stock was really helpful. I wish other bar manufacturers would do something similar. Even Harley falls short in that department. I ordered their mini-ape but was unhappy when they arrived. The service guys ate the restocking fee since I ordered the klockwerks through them. With the money we're spending on this kind of stuff...it sure would be nice to have a better idea of what you're getting up front.

And where you go makes a huge difference. The bars were about $250, and I paid their winter half off rate of $50/hr for 4 hours for a total of $450 for the new bars. I was quoted $1600 for the same thing at another nearby dealer.

You may not want to go lower, just forward. The best solution would be to ride someone else's bike that has what you like. I also didn't want to get above the fairing. I went with Chubby's 10" and pushed them as far forward as I could. I love the position. But that is me. Here is a diagram which may help:
