RE: i'm bout done spendin $$ on my bike
I dropped about 10 grand into my '97' Heritage Springer. Mostly do dads, custom paint, chrome and engine mods. Got a few trophys and caused alot of people to walk around it and tell me how pretty it was. Got to where Iwas a little tired of all the attention. All the bikes I owned prior to this one were just bikes to ride. When I traded in the springer I had 26k into it and they gave me 8 grand for it. I`ve bought a '07' Road Glide. Had a heat problem so Iinstalled an FI2000 module to richen the engine along with an Arlen Ness Big Sucker air flow kit. She`s runnin` nice and cool now. A back rest, highway pegs and different bars for comfort and now she`s ready to ride. I`m not going to get caught up in all the bling this time around. The lot next to mine was for sale for 10k at the time I bought the springer. It just sold for 90k. Maybe their are betterways to invest my hard earned $ then on somethin` that`s gonna make Willie G. richer than he already is.

Mine will never be at the level of yours Brian in terms of looks and performance. But the mods and the build I wanted were done when I did the 1st rebuild on it after trucking it home 2 years ago. All I'll spend money on now for itis for maintence items, items that break, fall off or wear outand my bar tab.

I started off with a road king custom...don't know what it is now. I guess it really doesn't matter as long as you enjoy making changes on your bike and putting your personality into it. Makes you feel good and you have something to show for your money and hard work. So I still have a ways to go before I stop spending.
