Default Quick question ER vs RG

Yeah I know sorry, but own a 06 Electra Glide love it but might be jumping ship to RG, just want to know how good the RGs are in slow, tight maneuvering, doing u turns etc. I handle my EG with ease at this point. Either new bike would be a 2016 most likely.
Thanks.

I had a Heritage Classic and was very apprehensive about going to a Road Glide because I was so comfortable in maneuvering the Heritage in tight spots and all.
Frankly the RGS has been a pleasant surprise, no problem with what I mentioned. Handles like a dream.
Hope this helps.....Good luck!

I rode an Ultra Limited for a few years then tested out a Road Glide and I'd say the Road Glide will handle even better than your Electra Glide. Without having the weight of the fairing, radio, and whatever else on the handle bars, at slow speeds the Road Glide feels more like a Road King than an Electra Glide.

But you have to get used to it! The first tight turn I made kind of freaked me out when the fairing didn't turn with the bars. It took a while before that felt right.

Never spent much time on a EG so take my opinion with a grain of salt. After 20 years on a WG I went to a RGU and was a little apprehensive as to how it would handle in slow tight maneuvers etc... It took me a few rides to get comfortable put that was mainly due to the different seating position, forward controls VS foot boards. After a few rides on the RGU I will say it handles better to me in tight, slow maneuvers than the WG. I would think that due to less weight on the forks for the RG as compared to the EG you will see an improvement in handling

RG, RGU no faring weight on front end. Try it you just may like like. Many do. I must be strange the faring not turning never bother me.

Exclamation

There is no such thing as a 'quick' question where this subject is concerned! There is another current thread on the same subject right here.
