Not much information here. How many miles, have the rear pads recently been replaced? If so by what brand of pads? Can you feel a buzz or vibration in the pedal at about the same frequency as the "click"? Some brands of brake pads are prone to making a "whirring" or rapid clicking that lowers in tone as you slow, probably caused by the air holes as they enter and leave the space between the pads. Does the bike indeed have ABS or is that just the way you are describing the sound?

Is it the wear tab rubbing? It normally makes noise at first with the brakes off or just when you touch them. Later, pretty much all the time.

No Harley brakes or after market pads for Harleys I have handled have the wear tabs. Not many after market automotive pads have them either.

You're right, been working on too many Honda cars lately. The AutoZone Duralast Gold still have them. You just need to look at Harleys
