So if I wire it to the brake light circuit the LEDs will only come on when I hit the brakes? That would be neat to put a set on my saddlebags on the rear and use as additional stop lighting.

Electricity is a lot like plumbing, electricity goes in one end and comes out the other. One big difference, though, is that if you grab a pipe at the wrong place you will almost never have water run out the bottom of your feet.
