Default PCV maps 2011 FLHTK

Ok just rebuilt the top end and put cams in. SE 255 Cam, Rhinehart Slimline duals and 4 1/2" mufflers, Big Sucker Air cleaner. Where can I find a map for PCV that ain't running so rich. Found a canned map that should have worked but got 23mpg. I need to get it broke in and have it tuned but don't want to be running that rich.

If bought PCV from Fuel Moto they offer free lifetime maps.

I didn't know they would do that. All they have ever offered was a canned map before. I just need to get it broke in then tuned.

No just get it tuned as is. Your tuner(if he is any good) can break it in better on his dyno than you will ever be able to, seriously. Not necessary to start out w/a canned map and then have it fine tuned.

I'm trying to get a map tweaked as I don't understand some of it and Fuel Moto wont even talk to me. My dealer supplied me with a PC5 up here in Canada and I guess they didn't buy from Fuel Moto. I have contacted them three times via email offering to "PAY" for their help and nope. To bad cuz up here, us hicks in Canada have motor bikes too and even lectricity. LOL

I have talked to a couple tuning guys and they want around 500 miles before they will tune it. Guess I'll just run rich for a bit to get it there. Won't take long to put that mileage on it. Even though about just buying an auto tune for it but didn't think it was as good as a Dyno.

Don't take it personally....

The Harley tuning aftermarket is a very competitive place. One of FuelMotos big advantages is their free lifetime maps for customers....

Not only do I suspect they are quite busy with their customers' map requests (I know I have hit them up for several), it would reduce the "buy FuelMoto" benefit if they opened up their map support to non-customers.....

FWIW... I purchased from FuelMoto, but I've used both FuelMoto and DynoJet for map assistance..... DynoJet may be able to help you too... They took a canned HD map, reworked it for my bike, and it ran waaay better than the canned HD map (yeah, I know... no surprise their). Point being they have some pretty good, experienced tuners there too, and might be able to give a hand...

Running it too rich can be almost as bad as running it way lean, I would try to avoid that...

I you can't get any help from DynoJet on a good/acceptable canned map, it would be worth letting whoever you decide to tune it, to also do a dyno break-in...

The trouble with tuners is it can be hard to tell the experts from a hack. While nothing can compare to a good dyno tune from a knowledgeable tuner, a "fair" canned map will often be better than a dyno tune by an inexperienced or poor tuner.

I am guessing the tuners requiring a 500 mile break-in don't have/use a dyno? If they did, I can't understand why they wouldn't understand the benefits and offer a dyno break-in... it would give me pause about their knowledge/abilities.. if they use a dyno, but won't break-in on a dyno... I'd look elsewhere...

Good luck...
