Default Tour pack for a police bike???

Hi everyone, I have been trying to find a tour pack to go on a 05 FLHTPI and cant for the life of me find anything. I am assuming that a standard tour pack wont work because of how the saddlebags open. I found on post of people referring to some on ebay for a smoking price but I cant find the pack anywhere on ebay. anyone got a link or some info?

I was really hoping to find a pack that is just like the ones the cops run but with out all the flashy wham whams and zoo zoos.

Here's a link to squadfitters.com, a police motorcycle equipment vendor and their plain (no holes or lights) police boxes:

I use a regular HD King TP on a two-up detachable rack with spacers of about 3/4-1" to raise the box to allow clearance for the saddlebag lids to open.

I also use a VIP/Matuza/CustomCyclegear aftermarket TP on a solo detachable rack which is the "great value" box you probably are referring to.

Neggy, when you had the police bags did you mount the TP to the permanent mount rack? I never tried that as I wanted the detachable, and my lids would hit the bottom of the King TP when mounted on the HD two-up detachable rack.

You may want to look at one of these....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tour-...QQcmdZViewItem

They come in some OEM colors.

My friend has one on her Road Glide. She had it painted at a local body. IMO, it looks great.

Mine was hard mounted to the rack, no spacers.

I used a King tour pack on my FLHTPI. I just cut off the old mounting bracket (the one that came with the bike) in front of the 2 sets of mounting holes and bolted that up to a harley quick change bracket. Works great and looks good to.
