I have a denim black Street Bob and loved how easy it was to clean, water and micro fiber unless really bad then it was dish soap and water. Thought about it for the bagger but dealer mentioned and I started noticing the shiny spots from bugs on peoples fairings. Dyna was fine cause it didn't have the big front end to catch the bugs but decided on vivid for the bagger. It's all about personal preference though so get what you like and enjoy!
I had a 'denim' silver/blue BMW back in the '70s, when what we called 'eggshell' was a novelty, but I wouldn't buy anything other than a nice bright shiney gloss these days! Unfortunately the H-D colour range in recent years has not exactly been exciting, with most of the Touring range at present including either black or grey - which ain't colours! That leaves very little real choice IMHO.
I did buy another Denim Black and would buy one again. Great paint easy to take care of. Just always, always! use a micro fiber cloth and you will be fine.
I had an '08 street bob, crimson red denim. Poor bond between primer coat and color coat. It was peeling on both fenders, but not the tank when I got rid of it last year. So no.
I have never had denim paint, but I keep looking at the denim for some reason.
If you had (or have) a denim bike, would buy another one?
The designers who thought producing bikes without paint should be shot at sunrise with a very rusty bullet.
Two bullets for the designers that came up the the short running Sand Camo!
