I think the Gangsters look really nice, Flyin' Apes too. Although, they are about 3-4" wider (grip to grip) than the Evil Apes. Evil's 34.5" (14") Gangsters 38.5" (14"). I was going to 'play it safe' and go with 12's but I think they would have been too close to the stock bars in feel/stance/height. I'm glad I went with the 14's. Just like everybody seems to say, I think I could have gone even higher ... (16's). The fit and finish of the Carlini's is excellent.

Default Ranger Boy is a Happy Boy!!

Hey Y'all,
Well the 2008 Big Dog Mastiff got traded on a Vivid Black RKS. I couldn't be happier! 350 break-in miles completed so far and loving this bike. So far after 100 mile checks I'm showing no signs of oil transfer out of the trans, and no oil blow-by in the breather. Hopefully this continues! It does seem loud (clunk) on the upshift, but is smooth and neutral is easy to find. Soon to be some 14" bars, and a Ginz sissy bar. The seat in the picture is a HD Tallboy (comfortable for both me and the wife). Still thinking about some options for a low profile seat. Happy to be here, the forum is great.

James

About 2 weeks and a few hundred miles so far. Only thing I did so far was sissy bar to keep the wife on. Windshield is coming in the mail. Love it so far!

Default Flush mount not so flush

Ok guys I know a lot of you have the flush mount fuel caps, about to fit the trim ring found the best place it sits; but it has a lip on the inside(see photo) anyone else have this? I have tried it 360 around but still has a lip on instrument side!
could it be a duff one??
