Is there a break in the build time or can we also use them from older models?
I remember somebody told me that sometimes there was a change to the measurements.
Do you knew which production date the one has which you picked?

the ones on mine in the picture came from a 2012 model the guy I got them from told me so anything from at least 2009 to now should be the same

here's an idea I'm toying with, I'm positive the OEM medallion is coming off and I'm replacing it with a bar and shield medallion. I'm thinking about powder coating it black and sticking on the tank. I threw the orange in below just as an idea, the other option of course is to chrome it

Are those 3D printed? If so, how would you powder or chrome them? The PLA or PVC won’t take the heat or chemicals, will it?

There you go. I did this once. I picked up a cheap $60 hand press from harbor freight and some wood shims. Eventually got the curves of the tank perfect and stuck it on. Ended up not being what I expected. I chromed them, which was too bright I think. Doing it again I would have looked for a brushed or maybe black chrome finish.

there's an idea. I think the black on black would look pretty cool because it's going to catch light from different angles and reflect that light differently than what's hitting the tank and give it some depth.

I can see where all chrome would be too much as well, glad to hear you had some experience with it. Now that you have a RKS what do you think, and did you ever get the windshield problem sorted out?

getting close to having things situated on this one, I need to get the tank off now that it's pretty much empty to put the aux wiring harness in and run up to the windshield bag, still waiting on Factory 47 14" Malo's to install and will buy a luggage rack soon

It needed to get out of the garage today for a pic,

Yep, I must have had the nuts torqued down too much. When I installed an Aux light kit, I made sure I torqued to spec and they slid right on, no prob.

Lights came out pretty good. Have a set of factory visor trims getting PC’d now. Should have them early next week. Thanks!

I think I need a light tint on my shield though...
