The All things ROAD KING SPECIAL THREAD
#102
I put this on my 2015 Fat Bob and loved it. Then I just traded that in on my new Road King Special. Ugg. Now I have to do a lot of other stuff before I can get back to it on this one.

I think it would look pretty bad *** and look sharp on that Green.
My Hesitation would be this... I think the Stock wheels on our bikes are already a Pain in the rear to clean...
Take a look again at that wheel and think about cleaning it. Just something that would give me hesitation.. but once mounted it would look so sweet.
I would take it to a detailer and have a Nano Ceramic Coating sprayed on it to help ease the cleaning process.
Something Like CQuartz Finest would be a good idea

Agreed it would look good, but I like those stock wheels a lot as well. Black spokes wouldn't be quite as bad as the chrome spokes I used to run on a former bike, but man were they a bitch to keep clean...

Yes, but the great thing is the dock will host the backrest and the luggage rack at the same time. On the license plate reflector I removed the right saddlebag and use a short ratchet removing the entire assembly. Pretty straightforward.

Yeah, but like you say, cleaning the stock wheels are a pain as well. On powder coated stuff, I use simple green and I buy these foam tube shape brushes (insert joke here ) and bend them 90 degrees. Makes it easy to get the back side of the spokes and nipples as well as the hubs. Raw spokes? Yeah that would be a ton of work just to keep the oxidation down.
