I don't have a regular GPS. I do use an app called co-pilot on my phone, it saves maps on the phone so you don't need an internet connection. It works good for me because I listen to music from my phone and the music volume drops when the app gives directions then goes back up.

This thing works GREAT for $13

MPOW 3.5mm Bluetooth Receiver Dongle:

Only thing is you need to keep it charged... You get about 8-12 hrs out of a charge... If you are going on a long trip, add a cig lighter usb adapter to it and you can keep it charged!

USB Cig Lighter Adapter:

I have my phone plugged into the USB Charger to stay charged and cradled in a RAM X Mount on the bars... I stream Pandora and WAZE all the time...

I use the exact set up and works fantastic. Best 13 bucks I have ever spent.

I tried the bluetooth dongles and charging them from another spot, but I missed being able to pause, advance and rewind from the handlebars and screen. Wasnt difficult to do, but not as easy.

I bought the Saddletramp from Ebay and installed it last week. Works as advertised and sound is good for BT. Like that everything is on the screen of the HK unit. I did find however that I cannot use my CB and the BT at the same time for some reason. I would have thought it would override the BT device from inside the HK radio. I have contacted Metra and am working with a tech to figure that out.

Has anyone that installed the metra saddle tramp find their volume is way lower with blue tooth than with CD, AUX OR RADIO? i do have my volume all the way up on my phone, wondering if it's my music player or possible install issue. I play the same phone, same volume through aux and I get the same volume as the other sources.
Thanks

Had a friend trailer my bike to Florida for 10 days of riding back a couple of weeks ago. The Metra Saddletramp worked great as advertised. Worked just like the BT in my vehicles. My CB also worked just like it's supposed to...it did override the BT just like it always has. Not sure why yours wouldn't do that?

This is also what I noticed when using it down south. At the time I didn't think of checking my phone volume...I had recently upgraded to a new iPhone. Back in the frozen north now so it will be a while yet before I can check to see if upping my phone volume helps. Even if not, it's a minimal "nuisance" and still very satisfied with it.
