Kinda like a nice muscle car... WITH A BLOWER COMING OUT OF THE HOOD!
Looks cool to some people, maybe too much to others.

The blower coming out of the hood ALWAYS looks cool!

Hi Dog,

I am very pleased that you have installed the Love Jugs on your bike. I am happily anticipating you sharing your experience of effectiveness of the Love Jugs on your bike. You are an influential player on this forum so your real life experience will carry a lot of weight. From your past e-mails, I also know that you are a serious scholar so I urge you to push things all you can.

By the way, I am a big fan of Jeff Dunham. Several years ago, when he was first starting out he appeared as a totally unknown in my small community. I thought he was a genius. I've enjoyed watching his meteoric rise to the A level performer status that he has earned. Good choice of ID photos by you. When I see it on this forum I automatically smile, but at the same time I wonder what that choice says about you. Are you really a cranky old man?

Hi Steve, good to hear from you.

First off, let's get something straight, I'm no more influential than anyone else on the forum, and I'm a long way from being a scholar (just ask my wife) I appreciate the compliments though.

As for the Love Jugs, I'm very happy with them. I've had them on for a full season now. I've put 14,500 miles on the bike since installing the Love Jugs, and haven't had any problems with them.

Twice, I've got caught in torrential rainstorms. One time, me and some friends were trying to out run a Tornado, it was raining so hard we could barely see the road. The Love Jugs never missed a beat.

I think the Love Jugs are great for us guys with older bikes that don't have the new water cooling. At the same time I installed the Love Jugs, I also removed my Air Temp gauge, and replaced it with an Oil Temp gauge so I could see if the fans were helping. On hot days, with the fans on, the engine oil temp never went over the 230 degree mark. If I turned the fans off, oil temp got much hotter, so I know the fans are helping.

I turned off the EITMS system on the bike. Even doing slow Patriot Guard Escorts on very hot days, I just don't worry about the engine overheating anymore.

So, I'm a happy (although sometimes cranky) customer

I did change the installation a little from the way I explained at the beginning of this thread.

When I did the install, I was already using my switched accessory circuit under the seat for some Fog Lights I had installed. I didn't want the Fans controlled by the same switch as the Fog Lights, so I tapped into the fuse block for the Fans.

I later learned that with part # 70264-94A, I could still pull unswitched power from that accessory circuit.

I had added a separate switch to control the fans anyway, so this worked great for me. I know the fans have their own on/off switches, but I wanted a way to control the fans that was easier to get to.

I don't turn them off very often, but if it's a really cold day, or I've got the radio running without the engine being on, I'll shut them off.

And I know we're all different on what we like/don't like on our bikes, but I really like the way they look as well!
