I know it seems that way, especially on a forum of members with a like minded passion, but you can't beat the real world business.

I can imagine that it feels degrading for some learning that RUBs are the reason they can still buy a Harley. Without RUBs, we would be stuck riding those boring faster and better handling bikes. Fact is Harleys are cool and there is some give and take to be cool.

Hey, you can be like my buddy who just traded his 80,000 mile BMW for an 08 Road Glide. He loves the Roady, but it's just isn't working out to be what he (actually his wife) needs for the 5,000 mile two up vacations they take a few times a year. So he is keeping the RG for work and weekend rides with the guys and getting a Goldwing for the long trips. He still thinks the BMW is the best touring bike, but he was stranded in Amarillo TX for a week with a broken drive shaft on his BMW because the nearest BMW shop was 200 miles away. My buddy laughs as he tells me that Honda and Harley have dealerships in just about every town.
