Angry Water cooled?

Sad to say if we all buy used harleys instead of a water cooled harley, we would all be riding somallething else used untill Harley goes under like Indian, and the spare parts run dry, as it will be mandatory that all motorcycles be water cooled(EPA standards) NLT 2014.

The EPA is not mandating that all motorcycles be water cooled come 2014.

I would buy one, as long as the displacement does not go down. 103" at least.

That's not what Harley said in 2009. They said they can meet all mandatory and proposed EPA standards with current generation of motors for the foreseeable future.

I would need to see what it looks and sounds like. I'd consider a liquid cooled Harley if they can make it sound, shake and rumble and look similar to our air cooled ones. What next, drive shafts??

well they did away with points and now have computors on them , did away with carbs now we have fuel injection , we still buy them ,I would say buying a water cooled Harley would depend on the bike , even then I think I would wait a few years

I just traded a liquid cooled Ultra look-a-like (Yamaha RSV) for a real Ultra. Not ready to go back to liquid. Besides, it does'nt matter, after that trade, they'll be making nuclear powered Ultras before I could afford another one.
