All of my bikes have been air cooled, even the metrics. I do think it is inevitable with all of the EPA requirements.

ABSOLUTELY!

It's time for a water Ultra. Also throw in shaft drive and an Air bag.

In a heartbeat. I have been wanting a touring bike for a couple of years but I want it to be water cooled. I keep hoping "maybe next year". If Harley builds it I will buy it.

I don't have a problem with being dragged into the 21st century and I'm an old guy.
It's time to accept the fact that liquid cooling is the way to go.
The new riders could care less about air cooled nostalgia. They grew up on metrics and have already accepted liquid cooling as the way to go.
Us old timers will not be around forever to support MOCO they need to bring in new blood.

I'd trade my '05 for a water cooled Ultra in a minute. If it made over 150tq and ran cool in 100 degree temps maybe quicker

There hasn't been a nice sounding motor since the Shovelhead. Air cooling means nothing. Gotta roll with the changes.

I'd buy one as soon as I finish this post if it were available. Now I get in trouble with my opinion. I believe those opposed to liquid cooling are avid motorcyclists, just not tourers. Their miles come from club runs, poker runs, and bike nights. 5,6,7 thousand miles rides are not their thing. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not their thing. Those of us that are touring the country, mile upon mile, 20,000 per year or more, have been longing for liquid. I believe cooling is just better for the long haul.

I could buy one of the other liquids, but I like the HD family. There's none like it.

Thaks for reading, ride safe!

I like to work on my bikes and my air cooled Harley is easy to work on. The radiator, plumbing and water pump etc would make the 45 degree Vtwin motor ugly.

It might be hard to be "old school" if they are still in their 20's. Everything is relevant to time. There will come a time when people will buy a Harley because their Great Grandpa had a water-cooled Harley. $0.02
