Does anyone Carry a gas can in there saddle bags or tour pack, How safe is this. some times it is hard to find a gas station open at night in my neck of the woods, been thinking about carrying a one gallon can in my saddle bag, is it safe to do or not somebody give me some advice here. thanks

If gas spills inside the saddle bag it will smell like gas for a long time. The inside of bags are not painted with good paint(black) or there not painted at all, so gas will soak into the saddle bag.

Lots of dirtbike guys use those msr type fuel cans for extended range rides. Only thingI'd wonder about as far as fuel in the saddle bag is if it could somehow leak onto a hot tail pipe. If you carry spare gas put it in the tank as soon as there is enough room to take it. Don't wait till it get way low.
