Price sounds close to book - maybe a tad over. Can you deal him down $500? If the dealer installed the big bore kit, he may be willing to warranty the engine for some period of time. I know a few folks with the kit in the '02 engine and they've had no serious issues that I know of. One other point - you might ask for the service history of the bike. If done at the dealer, they should be able to show you how the bike was treated.
Road King is a sweet ride - Good Luck!

It depends on what kind of 95" kit was done. There are a lot of places around here that will only do the big bore, I hear that is a deal at $600. A good 95" kit s going to come with ported heads, gear drive cams, and the big bore...I'm not sure what that runs.

If done right there shouldn't be a problem, maybe some reciepts you could look at to see what all was done and maybe a good HD tech to look at it
