At what speed do you shift into 6th gear

Anything above 60mph. It will pull from below that but the engine is built.

When stock couldn't really get into 6th until 65+ to keep things smooth.

My new 07 Street Glide seems to ping and lug at 61mph in 6th gear. I shift into 6th at 65 plus. If we are cruising at 60 I stay in 5th.

Sorry, I'm usually the one to quote the book, but not this time. 50-60 is WAY to low rpm for 6th. I see most here don't touch it untill they hit 70 minimum. After I am in 6th, I might keep it there to 65, but that's it. Mainly cause I think it's on the verge of not being efficient and certainly does not have any "escape power" at that rpm in 6th!
