Break in miles finally done.

I don't own an M8, but doesn't 47 mpg signal you may be running too lean ? I'd be tempted to explore a tune that would cause the engine to run a tad richer in the interest of running it cooler. "Just me".
Something to remember about that break in period: This is the time where you treat metrics and haters to a slow drive by view of what superior judgement and engineering beauty is all about. You've provided that example, now the rest is up to them.

Might be. There are cars that run in the 40+ mpg why can't a motorcycle. You would hope that with technology and development that fuel mileage would improve. A lot also goes with how you manage your wrist.
Time will tell when you have enough miles on the motor I'll pull a couple of plugs and look at them. Problem is they have now put the plugs under the tank so they are harder to get to. Not as easy of a task.
