Any body out there ever come across a touring exhaust baffle that is fully encased. Meaning there is an outer shell that is welded to the ends on both sides. Looks like a long slender blimp.
Are they a California emissions thing?
Any knowledge would be appreciated.

yep....my 02 has Supertrapp slip-ons....I unscrew the end cap and the whole baffle (looks like a muffler) slides out....same size as the slip-on basically.

Not sure about the California emissions thing though.
