Facelifted the Road King
So, I did a facelift on my Road King over the winter. Background - it's a stock 2010 ex-Volusia County, Florida, sheriff's bike. I left the engine alone and focused on cosmetics. The stock color combo was Mystique Green Metallic and Birch White with gold pinstripes. So, here's what I did:
Painted the formerly black headlight nacelle to match. Also installed 4" bar risers for comfort.
Chromed the hand controls.
Nostalgic collection foot controls
Chrome/gold flames timing cover, derby cover, air cleaner trim
Upgraded bag hinges to Deluxe Tour Pak Hinges
New flame taillights, Street Glide style rear fender conversion
Result - 3rd in class, Kansas City World of Wheels
After show got the seat redone by my wife.
After show - got chrome neck cover installed.

It's probably done for this year, because I don't want it down and unrideable for any more time. But there are other things I want to do to it. I bought a Native Kustoms front fender lowering kit, and I want to install it. I want to put a mild stretched bag set on it, and I also want to install chrome wheels. It may get a full custom Kandy paint job next winter.

She already has a place to sit - on her Yamaha FJR1300. If I had a passenger seat it would raise a LOT of questions!
