Default Extended Reach brake pedal and lowers

Ok.... I'm hard headed and don't believe crap stinks until I smell it!.. The MoCo says that the extended reach brake lever for my 09 Street Glide won't work if lowers are installed. Has anyone actually tried it? I've had my extended reach brake lever on my bike for 5 years, and I just ordered some Lowers for my bike. I don't want to have to replace my brake lever if I don't have to. I'm sure it will be close but will it not work at all?

I run a Soft Brake +1" extended brake lever & +2" extended front shift lever on my Ultra Classic with lowers. Only issue is I can't fully open the vents as the levers will make contact. I can open them to one "click" from fully open. When the vents are closed (or with non vented lowers) it's no issue at all and could even go longer on them I'm sure.

Good Luck!

Thanks.. I went to the dealer and NO ONE could answer my question and they had no used 09-13 Ultras for sale that I could look at and get some measurements.

No problem. The parts guys at the dealership are usually not of much help. It's like they say that you can't use the fork mounted wind deflectors (fangs) with lowers...they won't fit. I thought they would so I bought them & installed them just fine with lowers in place. I have about 1/2" - 3/4" clearance at full lock.

In case you do replace the pedal, we have one that will work with lowers installed.
