I have an 05 Ultra Classic and just cut the stock antennas shorter (about a foot from each). The result was good and I can't even notice a difference.

 

Hello John, I have the J&M antennas and I noticed on the package it says for rail mount. Will this matter? I have both on a trunk mount.

I know there are two different models. One for rail and 1 for trunk. Thanks for any input.
