i have a c.d led fender light on my bike that i got from somebody here and towards the end of last year it got water inside and some of the bulbs burned out. i contacted c.d and they said no way of fixing. have any of you guys tried repairing one of these ?

 

It seems that CD has a pretty good warranty,did the offer to replace it?

 

Betcha the warrantee isn't transferable.

 

Hard to say without seeing the item, but I'm guessing that somehow the bad LEDs will have to be unsoldered, replaced and resoldered.
We had kind of the same thing happen. Some water seeped in around the lens O ring and ruined some LEDs in a Custom Dynamics Dynamic Ringz light. I returned them to J&P and fortunately they replaced with no issues.

 

I bought mine directly from cd and mine got water in it. They replaced it no problem. Being cheap sometimes costs more in the long run.

yea i talked to them and they said since i didnt get it from them they won't honor the warranty. did offer me 10% off a new one
