I would check fuses for starters. You may have shorted out something while making the swap. Just had a similar issue with my Road King. Pretty new battery was dead. Pulled the seat and my Gerbings fuse was crushed in a weird way Swapped wiring, put battery on charger and now all is good. Best of luck!!!!

I would pull the brake light back out and check the connector PN 6837003. The contacts in it are very flimsy. When I changed the light to LED, one of the contacts rolled up inside. This caused the brake light not to work. At first I thought it might have been the LED, and I was right. since one contact was missing off the light. So I changed back to the regular bulb, and the brake light did not work. That's when I looked in the connector and found the contact rolled back. I did have the tail light though, just no brake light.
