RE: For those of you who "pack" while riding
Those last two came out clean though . Aside from the shot gun and uzi/mac10 everything else was well concealed. My problem is I am like a fish and grow to my surroundings. If I wore clothes loose enough to better conceal my Glock 27 I would just end up putting more and more weight!

This brings up an interesting question... as a card carrying Glock man myself... if you pack when you ride, what is the preferred method? In the waist can be a little painful while riding... shoulder holsters are good until you need to take off the jacket when you stop for a while. In the tour pack or luggage makes it tough to transfer back to the belt in public without being seen..
What's the best solution?

I love these kinds of threads. It makes me feel like I'm in another country. Being a lifelong resident of the Peoples Republic of California, where it is impossible to get a CCW permit, most peoplewouldn't think of packin' on a bike.
(Come to think of it, maybe I am in another country...?!)

3:30-4 is the ideal location standing, sitting and walking for me. I've been considering a SOB holster though (small of back), just need to find a good concealable holster (yes I've heard the horror stories of going down with a SOB carried weapon).

When I carry my Glock22 on the bike, strictly to go to the range. I carry it locked in the tour pack and unloaded. I don't even know if that is legal. In a car it is supposed to be locked in the trunk. If I am ever in a life threatening situation I have a better chance defending myself by throwing a shoe at the guy as opposed to jumping through all of the hoops to getto my gun.
