a good basic amp is the rockford fosgate PBR 300x4- about $160 on amazon
you can look at the manual online for wiring instructions- pretty straight forward

There are many amps to choose from, pick one. As far as lids go, Hogtunes make good ones, I've been happy with mine. Like amps, there's many 6x9's out there so pick one. I'm running Pioneer TS 6902's and like them well enough. Most current amps are 2 or 4 ohm compatible, so get 2 ohm units as they will be louder than 4 ohm ones.

Yes, you can. Generally, people go with 6.5 fairing speakers and speaker adapters. I don't have tour pack speakers, but it's my understanding some 6.5's will work in the pods. Speaker choice is as much about budget as anything else. Just be sure to match speaker impedance to the amps output.

I went with the Harley saddle bag lids and Boom Audio Speakers. Sound and look great. As far as an amp, I've never needed one. The stock unit was plenty loud enough for me and now that I've got an Aquatic AV head unit that puts out 288 watts I can hear even better. I also have the Boom Audio speakers in the fairing.
