Default security problems

I got a 09 ultra ,everytime I start it I have to put my security code in , what am I missing when I do it ? shouldn't that reset my security system

I changed out the battery with one that I know was good

I rode today and everytime I shut it off I would have to reenter my security code to get it to start ,

New battery or not, for whatever reason your bike is NOT detecting that FOB.

Are you sure you put the battery in the FOB the right way?
Don't take it the wrong way, as many have put the battery in upside down.

Try your second FOB, or remove and reinstall the FOB battery again, making sure it is in correctly.

Are you sure you put a GOOD battery in the fob? Are you sure you didn't install the battery upside down ... a somewhat common mistake? Was the bike starting with the fob before the battery change? FYI ... the security system arms itself about 5-10 seconds after the bike is turned off. You might want to read the owners manual regarding the security system.

man, I feel like a dumb *** !!! just checked the fob and it was upside down , Thanks everyone for the help !!!!!!

Yep, the FOB wont work if held upside down.



Good deal. Simple easy fix
