Soon as I get home, spritz on Hydrogen peroxide (twice), let in fizz up a few minutes, then clean off with micro-fiber cloth and plain water (low pressure hose). Takes about 10 minutes because I only wash front of bike/car.

Not using soap helps save the wax and doest seem to leave as many water marks. Soap does not seem to help much with the bug guts anyway.

The Love bugs do not keep me from riding, but then I have a windshield, andfull face shield.

Always amazed to see folks out riding through swarms of those things with only a pair of sunglasses for protection. THAT would keep me from riding.

The dryer sheet method works well for getting them off, you just have to wash with soap after using these. You can also pre-treat with Pam cooking oil. Spray a little on the bike before you head out and it makes getting them off a lot easier.

I justtried Rain-X Bug remover and it even removed some bugs from last season that I had trouble removing. It is in a spray bottle and gels up on the bike surface. Pretty good stuff

They're nasty little bugs that come out twice a year and are good for nothing. They have no natural predators so they are thick all over. You don't hit just one they are in swarms.
