Where would I find a SERT or PCIII if my bike has one??
Hello, I just bought a new to me bike and it has a few "hop up" mods done to it. I was wondering if it had a some sort of fuel management program where the control box would be. I've had the seat off and didn't see anything but I haven't looked too hard. Just kind of bored at work and thought I would ask somebody who knows.
Thanks

RE: Where would I find a SERT or PCIII??
If the bike has a PCIII it will likely be mounted to the ECM under the right side cover. The original ECM harness will be plugged into the PCIII and the PCIII will have a short cable to the ECM.
The SERT is harder to determine. A SERT is really just an interface that allows direct programming of the original ECM (using a computer/laptop) andyou won't actually see anything on the bike, like another box. If the bike was tuned with a SERT, the original owner should have given you the dongle (adapter) and software that is part of the SERT. If not, you may have to go to a dealer to have them check your ECM to determine if it has been tuned with a SERT. Problem is, if it has, you will need the SERT that was used to tune the bike as they are only good for one VIN number.

Travis, I am very happy for your new bike purchase. I remember reading your other posts about it. The black pearl is, IMO, the nicest paint that Harley makes. Good for you, even though you had to buy it from a Honda dealer. LOLYou will not regret the move to a touring bike.
