And to anyone reading this thread in 2019, I have a very effective laser jammer and radar detector mounted in the nacelle of my bike, an Escort ZW5. It has been great and helped me multiple times from the scumbag cops who brag about writing unnecessary tickets for kicks. The key is to have a good detector. Power-tripping bad cops are your enemy, and you should take every measure necessary to avoid interaction with them.

I also have a very good attorney who will get any ticket dropped for about $250. They are all over the country. Google a traffic attorney in your area, never talk to police, never answer when they ask why you were pulled over (but be polite) and when they get talkative with the lecture, ask them to give you your ticket and have a nice day. You ran into a bad cop, no need to let it ruin the rest of your day. A good attorney will trump any bad cop, any day of the week. Helps to have someone educated and intelligent on your side unlike the loser who spends his time getting kicks messing with ordinary hard-working folks.

I have a Valentine 1 with a remote dash display. its been on my Goldwing SE using a J&M integrated intercom for notifications. I do like it, but damn its loud in the helmet.
Does anyone else use integration or just the display to be aware. I dont like looking down for a flashing light....my eyes are up.

Sensible use of a good radar detector can help you avoid UNNECESSARY speeding tickets.

If you are alone on the road and speeding, you will be caught if the officer knows what they are doing.

If you are mixed in with a line of cars all doing some 10 or 15 over the limit, and the officer just has their radar on and is listening for the really fast guy, you will get alerted with plenty of time to not be they guy the cop wants to pull over.

The instant on and to a lesser extent the laser will alert you whey the officer paints vehicles in front of you.

I really like mine when I get close to a school zone.

And another thing a s s h o l e...I hope someday a cop pulls your *** out of a burning car and takes his sweet time doing it. My son was a cop, and I've got his ashes in a box next to my bed. f u c k you.
