Default Please help me identify these lights

I am thinking about upgrading my '09 Road King FLHR with a Daymaker set. I found these (see pics) for a good price. But the guy who has them doesn't know the part numbers and can't say for sure if they'll fit an '09. He buys take off parts from a Harley Dealer and only knows that they're new Harley take-offs. So can any of you experts out there tell me more about these? Are they the newest version? Will they fit plug and play in my Road King? Thanks.

They look like older HD Daymaker Projector LED 7" Headlamp and 4" Auxiliary Lamps.
  • P/N 67700243 (now replaced with 67700264) or P/N 67700241 (replaced with 67700265) (Headlamp - there are two different part numbers that fit different models)
  • P/N 68000172 (Auxiliary)

67700241 Fits '91-later FLS, FLSTC, FLSTF, FLSTFB and FLSTN, '14-later Touring (except Road Glide) and '14-later Trike models. Does not fit Softail models equipped with Freight Train Headlamp Nacelle Kit. Touring and Trike models require separate purchase of Wiring Harness P/N 69200897.

67700243 Fits ’12-later FLD, ’94-’13 Touring (except Road Glide®) and ’09-’13 Trike models. Also fits ’94-later Softail® models equipped with Freight Train Headlamp Nacelle Kit. ’06-’10 FLHTCUSE models require separate purchase of Wiring Harness P/N 71628-04.

68000172 Fits models with 4" round auxiliary forward lighting. ’04-earlier models with auxiliary lamps equipped with spade connectors require separate purchase of Adapter Harness P/N 68355-05 (Qty 2).

These LED Headlamps have been updated to new part numbers (seem to be the same except for the location of the shield). URLs below will aim you at the new ones.

Thanks paddyh for the great info. So what you're saying is that these appear to be the old models that have since been replaced? I heard the first generation ones were not very good, but that the new ones are great. Am I correct in thinking you are saying these are the old (e.g., not good) ones?

Do they say HD on the face? I ask this, because I bought a set of knockoffs "day makers" off amazon , and they work well but cost me around $130.00 for the set.

Yeah .. I'll be looking at knock offs when the time comes. 600 bucks for a headlight is ridiculous ...

Okay OP, they do appear to be Daymaker lights of some variant. Only ever had them on an older Road Glide so quite different. You do not say what is a 'good price' the person is asking? This to bring up an option. First of all I love bright lights front and rear and feel it is the only way to go. Have some that are called Halo on current Road Glide and very bright. That being said, I have the Truck Lite phase 7 on the Road King and couldn't be happier. By the time you get the set of 3, unless you stumble upon a great deal they are still pretty pricey but make riding at night nearly enjoyable. Point being, if the lights work I doubt you will be disappointed but there are other lights out there. Custom Dynamics, HD, TL and the list goes on. Watch ebay for deals. Anyone that doesn't appreciate bright lights has not ridden much at night, especially in the rain.
