Default Snap ring pliers

Any tips on where to find snap ring pliers that will remove the retaining ring on the clutch handle?

I have a set of pliers that I've used on other vehicles but the holes in this particular snap ring seem to be too small for the pliers points to be inserted.

Is there a "mini tipped" snap ring pliers that are needed for this?

There's many options out there. I happen to have a Craftsman set that has three different sized handles each capable of internal and external rings and having interchangeable tips etc etc. Very handy...

Perhaps not the help you were looking for, but it's not a specialty thing.

The set I have came from HF but I looked at Home Depot, auto parts stores, and Ace Hardware. All seems to carry the same set with different packaging. All of the tips were the same size.

Yeah...I got mine from O'Rielly Auto parts, for about $15.

But, I'm sure there is an official HD branded one available at your favorite HD dealer for $249.95.

I have an old Craftsman set, with interchangeable tips. Either that or you'll have to buy a couple of different sizes, esp for the real small snap rings.

I used a dremel and ground down the tips to a nice point. I was having the same problem as you were, finding tips small enough to fit. It only took me a couple minutes.

I have a Channel Lock brand set that have many different sets of interchangeable tips in straight, angled and 90 degree. Also can be switched from internal to external. I think I paid less than $30 for the kit.
