2007 street glide idles too low and dies when hot
I have a 2007 street glide. When cool the bike idles between 900 and 1000 rpm. After I have been riding the bike for around and hour and continuous the idle drops too 500 rpm and eventually kills the bike. This does not happen when you have been riding for under 10 miles. Only when you have been riding for a while. It starts right back up and the idle will jump to about 700 rpm then does it all over again at the next stop. I had a power commander on it and took it off since it was doing the same thing with it. Did not fix the issue. I did put a K&N breather on and Vance and Hines True Duels with the Big Bore mufflers. When I first change the breather and pipes a couple years ago it was fine. About a year ago it started doing this. Is there a sensor I can check or do I need it remapped by the dealer? I am in Phoenix so the heat is not going anywhere.

I've been chasing that exact issue on my 2007 Street Glide. I've cleaned the Idle Air Control valve, Installed a Fuelpak, replaced the Throttle Position Sensor, cleaned off the Oxygen Sensors, replaced the Fuel Filter and In-Tank Fuel Line and STILL have the Low Idle/Stall condition. I don't think going to the dealer will help because the Fuelpak remaps the Idle Control Valve steps per the optimal map. I wish I had the solution!

Guys, I found this on a CVO forum from 2010 "I was having the same issue with my SESG. Would sometimes just die sitting at a stoplight with the bike in neutral. I took it into the dealership and the tech thinking it was the tune, tried to retune the bike but kept struggling with the idle and constant throttle driving (between 2500 and 2700 rpms). He decided to check the fuel pressure and found out that when the fuel pump charges the line to 60 psi (I believe he said), that the fuel pressure was bleeding off after about 15 seconds which it shouldn't do, causing my bike to not get constant fuel pressure to the injectors and causing the bike to be starved, then fine, then starved again for fuel. He went into the tank and found that the "O" ring on the fuel pump was not seated properly when it was installed at the factory. He properly installed the "O" ring and now the bike idles and runs fine. Have your dealer check the fuel pressure off of the pump. This could possibly be a factory install problem"
Maybe this will give you another place to look???

i had an issue similar to this and ultimately fixed it by changing the temp sensor in the front head.
thought it was fuel, serviced the pump, filter, changed fuel lines etc. bike got hot and continued to experience low idle issues. finally diagnosed the problem when it started having trouble at cold start.

I am still have the same issue. I noticed that it doesn't matter if the air temperature is at 50 degrees or 120 degrees. Also when it is happening I can pull in the clutch while moving and it will stall. It is so inconsistent. Sometimes there are no issues that it cant stay running. If I need to check everything what would start changing first and then second. I will try to clean the Idle air control valve. Since it does it while moving that would eliminate the vehicle speed sensor as the issue? could it be the injectors themselves? Any idea and I guess I will start replacing items as the dealer seams to do.
