Default Adjustable backrest

My 06 Ultra had an adjustable rider backrest installed when I bought it. I've figured out how to adjust the front / back position, but that's it. The HD catalog says it "removes easily and has a push-button-activated, five-position, 1.5" height adjustment." Can anyone let me know how to remove it (easily) and adjust the height?

Thanks!

If you feel on the back of the backrest you will find a button (inside of the backrest) that you just press to adjust the height. To detach there's a lever near the bottom of the bracket that goes into the seat thatyou depress with your thumb, once depressed you just slide the seat right out. Hope this helps.

My adj backrest is really hard to get in and out. Have to really work it even with the release pulled open.

In reference to DrLove907, you can find and depress the button on the back of it to adjust the heighth with out removing it. As far as removing the 52622-03, the lever DrLove907 is talkingabout is down in the crease of the seat on the backside of the backrest. The lever on mine is reached easiest if I put the backrest in an extreme forward position, makes it easier to reach down and flip loose the lever allowing you to pull the backrest out.

The fact you canadjust it puttin down the road, well worth it! I'd have bought the other version if the price wasn'tso high. Glad I paid the difference.
