Looking forward to seeing how this project comes along. You've certainly got a lot going on with the bike this year!

But - at least you can work on it inside your house!!

Keep the pics coming.

Can't wait to the project progress. By the way you sure have nice "garage" floors!

Don't know if I if I can help at all but my bike was originally ultra now its a roadglide.
Think a roadking would be easier.Look at how the harness gets routed and zipp tyed to the roadglide fairing bracket its important to get it right to make puting on the outer fairing on easier.lots of pics out there of how the harness should go.

i converted my 04 road king to a road glide. by far the most difficult task was some of the minor nuts and bolts. i have a complete 12 road glide front end and a 07 SE rosd king rear end.

there is a conversion list of parts floating around on the forums. it is an excel spreadsheet developed by red beatd. it was a great help

i will suggest, that changing the main harness is not difficult and takes about 3 hours. the interconnect harness needs to be of the same year/part number or you will have challenges hopefully you cross referenced thoses befire you bought.

my words of advice, buy the bracket that bolts to the frame new and buy the 10 up bracket. thst way you can run lowers from an ultra if you want.

make certain you understand when the gauges changed, as some of the newer gauges do not work well with the old ecm.

putting a 6 gallow tank on an old frame is a huge challenge. mounting an aftermarket 6.6 gallon was easier and did not require cutting the frame to mount.

pm me if you need encouragement or have questions. glad to help but its straightforward and is easy, but time consuming. my conversion after all was said and done was less than a 1000, once i sold take off parts.

Nice floor in garage. Lmao. It's back room on house I'm renting in Maryland. My house is in nice warm south Florida Lol.

Big sky. I have all bracket new 2010. Gauges 08. Main RG harness is 07 to match ECM and cable throttle.

07 vs 08 frames only change is front upper support mount
I have set of 12 heads so I can run front mount but need to add threaded rod welded to the frame For The Heim joint to bolt to. Or lower under tank support as it will hit 08 tank. This is only thing I've run into that I haven't read anything about. I really want to use oem 6 gal tank which I have painted and ready to go.
Worst case is sell both tanks and order custom 6.6 gal as you mention.

I was thinking tonight as I was still working on getting main harness remove " what are you doing? You have badass RK".

I can't leave nothing alone

I did mange to get exhaust off tonight. Little here and there

i would recommend you research the tank question as more changed than you are seeing. the biggest change was the rear tank mount. couple of threads on forums where someone mounted one but required frame surgery.

im also concerned about you using an 11 interconnect with an 07 main harness. i have not looked up the part numbers to see if it connects but there were a couple of versions since 07.

glad you are using the new bracket. you will love your bad *** king as a road glide.

07 main is 70985 -07
07 interconnect is 70274-07

11 main is 70985-10a
interconnect is 70274-10

concern is part number change and full functionality

not saying it will not work, but it is different if upper years work, part numbers dont change.
