Default Selling stock wheels

I have a 12 street glide and will be purchasing new wheels this spring, and I am looking to sell the stock wheels. Is there a website other than ebay/amazon that I could post my wheels?

craigslist is an option. Do you have the new wheels picked out already?

sell locally, craigslist. you can look at listings now and you'll see a price range...the ones still listed after a few days are priced too high.

do not think that your wheels are awesome, desirable or expensive- they are used parts and anyone who is looking for custom wheels will get custom wheels, your market is restricted to a those few ultra or classic owners who want a different look and are willing to pay a for it.

buyer will want to know if the rotors and pulleys are included, abs or non-abs bearings.
I have bought wheels locally only for the new tires on them...at 1/2 price for the tire...comes with free wheel

suggestion, get some clay kitty litter and use old t shirt to make a breathable bag. ( this makes a desicant bag- if it gets damp, put in the oven and dry it out)

put your wheels in a trash bag w/ kitty and store in the garage.

if you ever decide to sell your bike, put the stock wheels back on and you can move custom wheels to new bike or sell them. you will get your best return this way and all it will cost is a few cubic feet of space

( I have the original wheels and tires from my '53 stored in my garage...under a bench, out of the way)

Mike

Sold both of mine on HD forum classified. One to a local member , one to somebody far away. 40 bucks to ship a raw wheel to I forget where. Haha. Try CL first.

That's me, except I bought mainly because the front chrome contrast Knuckles wheel on my bike was corroding and the chrome was peeling bad... and the rear was a PITA to clean. The SG 'look' was a bonus.

buyer will want to know if the rotors and pulleys are included, abs or non-abs bearings.

I bought mine off CL. I paid $350 for the pair, with good rotors still attached. The tires were worn out, so I replaced them, along with the bearings. I probably paid about $50 too much for the wheels. Your market will vary. The more to choose from, the lower the price.

I can tell you that clean wheels that include good rotors and hardware will sell faster than those without. Wheels with good tires will sell faster yet. Don't expect extra money for this stuff, but the wheels will sell faster. Keep in mind that used 14 and up Streetglide 19in Enforcer wheels are on the used market and are more popular than the 13 and down 'Airstrike' rims.

I am with mike. I held onto my factory wheels. If i ever get rid of it the chrome ones that i have on it will fetch more than the factory ones ever will.

If your hell bent on selling yours i agree with craigs list.
