Something slightly louder than stock but quieter than RC Components – suggestions?

Went through the same thing trying to determine the "just right" sound for me on my 2015 RGS. At one time I considered the CVO cans but believe me the difference is so little it's a waste of money.
After a lot of listening for that not loud vs too quiet I settled on the Rush Big Louie's.
For me they are just right. Remember everyone's ears hear different things.
If you are interested call Rush and talk to Catfish. He will help you out and answer all your questions.
Good luck.

since you already have these mufflers, buy a set of Big City Thunder quiet baffles. They mount in the pipe just ahead of the mufflers and do a great job of quieting them down, probably half way between too loud and stock. They also restore the low-end torque you lose with straight thru mufflers too.

I tried BL's and bought 3- different sets of baffles for them. I did like the sound, but the droning they produce drove my ears crazy.
Ended up with CVO cans with Fullsac screens with their 2" baffles. I think my search is over.

droning from pipes or droning in a helmet?- some riders who wear helmets esp full face, the cavity of the helmet is itself a resonator....even flipping open the visor will completely change the effect- as it changes the size/volume of the resonant cavity.
If so, then that indicates the the helmet is subject to sympathetically resonate with sounds, whether from motor, exhaust, a truck or wind.

I will think about the Monster Baffles since the RC's are still in the garage and I have not found any decent priced CVO's on eBay...
Thanks much everyone

I just went through this myself. I decatted my head pipe with 4" RCX'S. Too loud on accell and hills. (they were perfect before decatt. Here are some options:
Late model CVO take offs, brand new $200 shipped.
Kury Crusher Mellows in the 4"
Take your stock cans and send them to American Custom Exhaust to have them modified. They will clean them out and install there standard baffle. Also order the street friendly baffles which are removeable in a couple minutes. You will have a quality OEM muffler with good performance and flexible sound options. About $280 and shipping.
I went with the 4" CVO mufflers, perfect mellow sound for me. Radio and wife friendly and very tuneable mufflers.

The 4" CVO mufflers are all the same and interchangeable as far as mounting with regard to model years and Touring bikes.
"Ended up with CVO's...."
So I assume I can start checking eBay for "Road Glide CVO Slip-On 2014-2016" and I should be good? I will also setup a search queue for the "Street Cannons".
Keep the recommendations coming - thanks![/QUO
I have a set of Street Canon's on my 2016 SGS have 2200 miles on them. Looking to go a different route. If you are interested in them I am sure we can work something out.
