Default Changing to black forks/cowbells? - opinions/ideas

I plan on removing the windshield and passing lamps and installing the RK Custom bullet turn signals in black.

Debating on whether I should stay with the chrome forks and cowbells or mix it up a little, and going with black forks and/or cowbells. I have seen a few bikes with black forks and chrome cowbells and vice-versa; most look pretty good.

Maybe change the engine guard to black, or too much?

I will probably paint the rear fender black and possibly get black fender supports and saddlebag guards. Maybe get a black rear heat shield for the exhaust.

Trying to change things a bit, without blacking out the engine covers. Looking for a mix of black and chrome. What you guys think? Am I out of my mind?

You want something different then do something different don't follow a trend that's gotten as stale as last monday's doughnuts.

I say try wrapping the items in electrical tape or plasti-dip to see if you like the blacked-out look before taking the plunge

I never saw a black pair yet of lowers .....every set seems to always have a grey hue to them, and never look black. I think the contrast comes from the powder coat on aluminum vs black paint on a steel tank. Take a close look at the ones harley sells ....... Grey

Well, I can only do different within my budget. I get what you're saying. I wish I could paint the bike.

Instead of going all black why not pick certain parts and go for contrast?

That's what I was hoping to do. Black forks or cowbells, maybe I should go with chrome turn signals?

I blacked out the front end on my 06 standard and then sold it. Prolly not do it again. I think blacked out bikes are cool just not for me anymore.
