Hey, what lights are those mounted to the forks? Is that a custom setup? Haven't seen that before.

They are the Kuryakyn Frame Mounted Driving Lights. I custom made brackets that use the fender mounts and turn them into fork mounted lights.

Now this is what I'm talking about, think outside the box a bit. Nice setup for the running lights.

I get what your saying, and because I plan on keeping my bike until I die I am trying to mix mine up some. I ride a lot and don't clean and polish my bike a lot so I am blacking out the lowers and some other key parts to make it easy to keep clean. My overall plan is to create a classic and timeless look that is easy to take care of. Will I nail it the first time, probably not but I enjoy playing with my bike as much as I do riding it.

cop bike with black nacelle here.
Many years back I used gloss black wrap on the cowbells and lowers, did not like the look so removed from lowers and kept on cowbells.
The wrap was cheap and easy to do.I have a complete chromed front end but will likely only do the lowers one of these days when I rebuild the forks .

I wasn't a big fan of the factory setup of the upper being chrome and the fork lower being silver/matte:

So I went (another set) powder coated black while changing over to Progressive cartridges...and now I have an exchange set if I decide on chromed lowers instead.

I don't really notice the aesthetic change but boy the suspension is a huge improvement.
