The compensator is an easy fix. I am still running the stock one but I have a Baker one on the shelf when I need it. I replace the wheel bearings with every set of tires, they are too cheap not to do it. I replaced my rear tail light stop switch after the original one gave out and other than that I have been trouble free.

 

I owned three 09s (ultra, SG and RKC), all great bikes. My only suggestion would be a stage 1.

I Dig my 09 Fugly.....puts a smile on my face whenever I ride it...

 

Waiting for the records if any on the 34K mile 09. i prefer the hard bags so I would buy a pair of those deeper ones, take off the windshield and lower handlebars for now. No doubt the mods will never end regardless of what one I end up with.

 

I was just in the same boat.I wanted a 09 up rk. Couldn't find anything bad about 09 up. I ended up getting 13 road king police.

Good deal but the OP is in Canada so between exchange rate and shipping costs it may not be an option for him.

 

Main problem now is that outside is snow and ice. I just want to ride my -09 RK 😂

 

The down side is that you will not be visiting the dealership for recalls and getting to drink coffee and buy t-shirts

 

Thanks but as mentioned above, the exchange and shipping, broker charges etc blows the deal fast.

So the place with the 09 lacks in the customer service department to the point where I feel like Im chasing them so Im going to look elsewhere.

Found a nice 2011 in a rootbeer paint scheme that I might take apart and make black. The appeal is its local and low kms.
