2000 Ultra Classic Cranks/No Start

so a couple of things to look at and I'm sure more suggestions will come.
- the reason I don;t know or care much about the pre-07 EFI is that is was crap compared to say a 1980 Volvo...H-D had Magnetti-Marelli design a crap system ( when MM was making great efi systems for other brands)
the forums are full of carb conversion threads which can run as little as $600 for a DIY
carb, intake, module ( usuallydaytona twin tec) , petcock, some cables

update
So I have replaced the fuel pump, cleaned and gapped spark plugs, fully charged battery, put in new crank position sensor and rechecked all sensor plugs for tightness. Took power commander off and reset plug but did remove commander from loop. Have not took power commander out of loop yet. Here is a video of how the bike is trying to start but won't. Any help is appreciated. As you can see this problem has been an on going pain and finally getting back to it.

Have you tried giving it a shot of starting fluid? You stated that you replaced the fuel pump. Did you replace the hoses also? They are notorious for springing leaks. Also the fuel pressure regulator can cause issues as well. If she fires on the starting fluid you can rule out any electrical problems.

update
Down to running a fuel pressure check on the fuel line and fuel pump. Having a problem locating a fuel pressure tester that has the right fittings for the disconnects on the check valves. Barring the pressure reads right I can start the bike with starting fluid so I know the bike will fire but not sustain the run after the fluid is used up. If fuel pressure is good am I thinking right that now we are down stream to the fuel pressure regulator, injector nozzles and throttle response sensor?

Update
So an update on my 2000 ultra no start........First thing I did was to replace the fuel pump as mentioned earlier. As suggested by mechanics I replaced the crank sensor and cam sensor.
Got down to fuel delivery. Bought a fuel pressure gauge, way over priced, but showed no fuel pressure. Since the bike would start with starter fluid I rechecked hoses and check valves. Harley does not support the fuel filter for 2000's anymore so I got the number and cross referenced with a fram. Put that in. Low and behold I now had fuel pressure. Bike started. Except now I can't get the idle down. It goes right to 2100 or so and stays there. I have checked and rechecked cables, throat, etc. Any ideas on my "new" problem now?
