If you don't already have the cam's then why don't you do the build in my signature? It's a 103" with Woods 777's set at 10.6 comp. with head work, but if no head work I'd drop the comp. down to 10.3 and install a Andrews 57 cam.
I may get flamed but there is better cams out there imo than the 570's, sorry.

I had considered the 777's but thought that they might be a little high RPM skewed for a bagger? More of a ride it like you stole it sort of cam more suitable to a Dyna

Thanks for the feedback, and it would seem that you think otherwise

With 570s ya should have at least 10.1 static and good headwork. I would shoot for 205 ccp to get decent low end. But ya really ought to talk to whoever is doing your heads on cam selection. The tune will make all the difference in the end. Good luck!

You are in the same position I was except I have a 107 big bore already installed. I wanted to get more low end torque but also not give up on HP on the higher end. I researched for awhile looking for the right cam/head work combo and ended up with head work (oversize valves, porting, and milling) with the T-Man 590 cams.
I looked at Woods cams (555 & 777) and also Zippers 575, T-Man 555 torqster, and regular T-Man 555. The regular 555 maybe a good bolt-in for that 103 at that compression. Call T-Man and talk to TR, he talked to me for sometime not even knowing if I was going to go with his cams.

Set up with the right compression, good flowing heads, and a good 2-1 pipe the woods 777's will perform great in a bagger. I'm running them in my Ultra and have 100tq at 2250 rpms. They will pull to redline as well.

I've put over 10, 000 miles if not more on this build and I ride the back rds of east tn as well as Nc, blueridge pky and such and this thing has bottom end like crazy. Take a look at my dyno chart in the dyno section for this build, I couldn't be happier! Its post #5298

777's are not "high RPM skewed".

Look at Longridertx's post. It all needs to work together. Cams, pipes, compression, etc.

777s require more compression to get the most value from them.

Like I said, call a reputable builder, they will help you.

Here's the chart for my 107 with 777s. Not high RPM in the least, but with more compression, etc.

They do even better with a good set of heads and throttle body.. I've been running 777s at 9.9 to 1 and and HPI55 on a 103.. With the right pipe they pull low to the limiter. CCP is only 185 psi

Since you are getting to ride your Harley in Thailand, hopefully you will also have a hot little Thai chick along for the ride. I hear that country is full of them.

No real advice on cams but I like the Andrews cams. The 57h is supposed to be real good in the 103.

I stand corrected, and the Woods 777's seem the business from this dyno chart. As I will get the heads done to suit the cam, I would be happy with these base numbers and any better with good heads will be a bonous

Thanks to all for the suggestions
