Default Road Sofa Touring Saddle Info

Hey gang,

As luck would have it, I'm not overly impressed with the stock seat that came with my 2005 Electra Glide Classic. So naturally, I want to upgrade. Has anyone installed the Road Sofa Touring Saddle available from eglidegoodies.com? If so, what is your opinion of the seat. I'm looking for something that would be comfortable for both me and the wife for the long haul.

I've met 2 foks who had Road Sofas. Both said they were the best seats they'd ridden on, including Mustang and Corbin.

I've got a Road Sofa (Saddleman's) on my old Goldwing, and I'm less than impressed with it. Maybe the models for Harley's are good. Mine is about six years old, and they may have improved it since then.

Hey PocoCJ, thanks for the quick reply. My wife and I took a trip to Gettysburg PA in late August logging in approximately 325 miles. The only complaint was the comfort of the stock seat after about 200. Needless to say, the last 50 miles were pure agony. So whether I go with the Road Sofa or something else, I'm getting another seat...

Hey Scott,

I thought about the Sundowner and it would make sense since I would save a little money by not having to change out the passenger backrest (everything will still match). Glad to hear your wife likes the seat, but what do you think of it, comfort wise anyway? Have you had your ride on any long trips?
