Default Diminished value on bikes?

Meeting the adjuster tomorrow am. I can't find any info on this so I was wondering if anyone on here has had any first hand experience with this and be able to give an answer.
Since there is no carfax for motorcycles or info on previous accidents, is there dimished value allowance on bikes?
I'll ask the agent tomorrow but they usually try to get away with not paying diminished value on cars and if the affected party doesn't know about it they won't even mention it.

If you got hit from behind and bike was in the air bike is likely totaled. Dont forget to ask for licence tax and title fees as part of the property damage. Gotta pay all that when you buy anew bike. I also got rear ended Mine was in july. Turning into gas station guys says he never saw me in the middle of a hot sunny day.

Oh yes, the insurance company will very likely used diminished value to there advantage. From condition to mileage. As well exclusions on everything added on or carried or worn by you.

I am not saying it will always go this way. Sometimes you meet an adjuster with a soul. But that is rare, at least in my experience.

Don't forget that you can usually keep a totalled or damaged bike, take the money and fix it yourself. I've had and ridden totalled bikes before.

My policy had coverage for $3K of accessories. If you have a list and at least web links to prove value get it to them. (of course they depreciated this). Also negotiate with them what you can go and take off the bike. Thinks that are bolted on they will not let you take. I took my windshield bags, trunk lid organizer and a few other things. Probably saved me $300 not having to buy for the new bike.

Unless you currently have a salvage title diminished value should not be a consideration for this accident. Going forward, if you are totaled and buy it back and rebuild it then it will probably be a consideration.
My understanding is diminished value is different from depreciation.

Adding a new bike to my policy this year. Insurance called and said to take pics of bike; right and left side;
pics of any accessories I had installed;
value of said accessories and send it to them in case of an accident or theft.

Been with this agency for years. Never had to do this before.
Just traded again, will see if I'm asked for this again................

After my accident, and the repairs were done and paid for, I got a check for $400 from the insurance company for diminished value. I was just glad the bike got fixed better than what it was prior to the accident. My mechanic did the walk with the adjuster and "helped" him with the claim. Well worth it to have a knowledgeable person help.

I got $1600.00 in diminished value on my Road King.

Had to hire an adjuster, who inspected the damage and came up with the value.

Adjuster was like $150.00

Also, diminished value may vary by state, some states don't allow it. Georgia does but I had to remind the insurance company about it...I think their initial DV was like $2600 based upon a standard formula. You don't have to take the insurance's value for DV provided you have some type of proof. There are companies that will do DV inspections. I ended up not needing it as my bike was totaled.
