16-17" Apes on RKC
#11
I have an 07' RKC I'm wanting to put a pair of apes on. 16-17" is the range. I'm looking for pics, brands, cables and anything else involved for references. I've looked at Wild1's, Burly ( and one other that was a 17" on amazon.. can't remember). If anyone has bagged bars I would like to see those as well. More into the smooth bends rather that sharp corners. Thanks.
18 inch Burly apes frikin love em

Keep in mind that saddle height to grip height is affected by how "high" you sit in the saddle.
I prefer my hands (when on the grips) to be slightly lower than my shoulders (this helps keep the cops away too).
I put WO 577's (I think they have a 12.5" rise) on my '13 CVO Ultra and I'm extremely happy with them. I sit a bit "high" in the saddle as I'm 6'-2" but with a 32" inseam, so my torso tends to be longer than average.
As we get older (speaking for myself) grip angle can be more of an issue and especially so on long trips. I could have went with less angle than the 577's have but that will be something to plan for on the next bike.

The are fully adjustable but they are expensive and some people don't care for the way they look. Don't hurt to check 'em out.
