Default HD tank bra, do people like?

I while back there was a thread about protecting the base of the tank. Some including myself have some rubbing against the paint on the sides from pant legs, etc. I didn't know HD made these but found them this weekend, anyone have and are you happy with it? My concern is is my tank panel goes all the way to the seat, so with the tank bra wrapped around it I would think there would be a gap on either side. If anyone has pics from different angles that would be great.

Worse purchase ever! I purchased and put the bra on the bike before a long ride about 4 years ago. It acted as a catcher for anything flying up from the road. When I removed it after the ride, about 1500 miles, it had caught these small pieces of rocks. The small pebbles floated around between the bra and the tank, chaffing into the paint. I still have it, I don't know why, but couldn't sale in good conscience knowing what a piece $%#@ it is.

I have never had one. I have known too many folks with them on their cages and the crud that can get under them, especially mold after a rain. None for me thanks.

IF you like MORE scratches then you already have gotten with by your jeans, then it's awesome.

Meguiars Scratch X every once in a while removed those for me. I use it before wax when I see the rear of the tank getting some rub marks...

Thanks for the feedback, kind of thought that would be the case. Won't be ordering one any time soon.

I use 3M clear bra. I just bought a roll, and cut it to fit around the contact area of the base of the tank. People don't even see it unless I point it out.

Bras belong on women, not motorcycles.

The only effective way to protect it would be with clear 3m tape imho

I got one and used it all summer. I like it. No extra scratches this far.
