I'm in southern Manitoba, Canada, and for me riding in November is almost unheard of. Put on 300 miles last weekend, going to get out this weekend a bit too. Long live El Nino or whatever is causing this.
Got a love fall riding but I tend to stick to highways & interstate most the time, due to dark so early now & deer. Froze yesterday but today was awesome had my gal with me she's tougher than most guys when it comes to riding the cold. In the summer she wants to keep going when it's pouring when I say let's wait it out for safety reasons in some unfamiliar area. Lord knows those dam cagers don't give I second thought to you being on a bike if they even notice ya.
I've rode every day for the past few weeks here in Hibbing MN. The coldest I've seen was last Saturday night and it was 38 degrees riding home. It has been in the mid 50s to low 60s. You can't beat that for November. I will be out all weekend as well with the same temps. The deer thing worries me as well. I've seen quite a few in my neck of the woods.
When I left for work this morning it was in the low 30's. Had to park outside last night and there was frost on my bike. Chilly for the 80mph ride on the highway.
Darn. Now I know I've gotten old. Weather is down I the 40s and the bike is sitting. With Arthur visiting my hands, can't take the bite in the knuckles. I did, however, put the Overbilt back on the motorhome and the departure is set on soon. Gonna be a snowbird for a few months.
